The Role

The Regional Compliance Officers key role is to strengthen compliance within the Middle East & Africa region and contribute to making compliance a competitive asset for the company across the region. The objective of the role is to advise the organization in compliance matters. Such matters are handled by the job holder personally or wherever reasonable with additional support from internal resources or external specialists, in consultation with the Regional General Counsel.
- Identifying compliance-relevant risk areas;
- Supporting the development and operation of the KN compliance program;
- Conducting Integrity Due Diligence assessments on selected suppliers;
- Creating appropriate regional anti-trust and anti-bribery awareness
- Compliance Training and managing effective delivery
- Maintaining a consultation desk
- Assisting management in control and discipline
- Maintenance of related guidelines, policies and work instructions
- Acting as a first-stop regional compliance contact
- Supporting the company-wide compliance network and ensuring consistent communication of compliance topics in liaise with the Corporate Compliance and Legal Organization
- Coordination of investigations and hotline-topics in liaise with the Corporate Compliance and Legal organization
- Reporting on compliance independently from local management
- Promote compliance as an asset for the company in the region, create a Role Model Function

Requirements

- At least 3 years experience in similar compliance function
- Is used to work in an emerging market environment
- Experience in multi-country environment advantageous
- Knowledge of Arabic language highly desired
- Excellent communication skills across different level of the organization
- Perseverance
- IDD knowledge
